By road:

Yoga and meditation weekends in the Vale of Evesham, 19-21 June and 18-20 Sept 2020

Two weekend retreats of Restorative and Hatha Yoga and meditation in the beautiful Vale of Evesham.

Both weekends are gently and safely taught, suitable for beginners or more experienced yogis wanting to experience a therapeutic approach and to clarify and establish and renew our resources.

19-21 June

Midsummer Meditation and Yoga

Tune into the transformative energy of Midsummer to press the reset button, take stock and recharge.

There will be eight yoga and meditation sessions starting early evening on Friday and finishing before afternoon tea on Sunday. Morning practices will be more invigorating; evenings calming and restoring. We will explore a range of practices: asana (movement); pranayama (breath), meditation, and yoga nidra (deep relaxation).

As well as yoga, there will be time to treat yourself to a massage, a walk in the beautiful gardens, or simply relax with a book or stare at the sky…

18-20 September: Yoga Self-Care Weekend

With a focus on good sleep, motherhood and menopause

Many women spend much of their lives looking after other people. This is a retreat to look after ourselves – and learn practices that will sustain us and nourish us through the physical and mental challenges we face at different stages of our lives.

From sleepless nights of early motherhood, juggling demands of work and home, to the hormonal fluctuations of menopause, yoga has many gifts to help us.

This will be a weekend to learn cooling breaths, energy-charging restorative practices, core strength-building asana, and meditation practices to help us keep calm whatever life is throwing at us!

And our sleep coach Leona Patterson will be on hand with advice for improving the amount and quality of our sleep – vital throughout our lives.

The retreat centre

Holland House is a tranquil retreat centre set in three acres of beautiful gardens at Pershore in Worcestershire. It is centred around a 16th Century half-timbered, part thatched building with the River Avon flowing by. We will stay in the old house with its drawing room, library and beamed dining room and our workshops will take place in a light and airy overlooking the grounds.

A member of the Sustainable Restaurant Association, all food is prepared and freshly cooked each day from local ingredients: fruit juices from the Vale of Evesham and honey is from beehives in the garden. Meals are generous and there are home-baked cakes and biscuits for afternoon tea.
